Have you ever felt you do everything by the book, only to find it just doesn't seem to work...
I was like that with my Art, till I just begun to absorb the learnings and just practise, practise practise...
I found I was able to focus on one thing at a time and it flowed well.
Needless to say I drank my favourite cuppa, alot more when I felt everything just wasn't happening as it should.
Reflection time
How have you progressed this first quarter of the year?
Are you getting what you want completed?
I have been on many courses, all part of the plan, and now it is time to implement.
It is time to invest valuable time and effort in ourselves for the better.
I expect you feel very much the same.
If you do, you may just need to do a few things to calm it all down before the implementation begins again.
My purpose Today ~ is just to say - “Stop for a while,
and 'Just Be' YOU.”
Step away from the rush of it all.
Identify where you want to be, note it, and place yourself in a position to gradually moving towards this.
Just like the generation of work you have completed these past months; you now need time to digest the process and grant yourself the time to enjoy those accomplishments…
It doesn’t need to be a race; it is a steadfast process and one day you will be able to feel you are achieving.
You are identifying how to guide yourself each day with a little bit more growth in your work.
Flows of work can become more serene and calm once you take some time out, and I hope you can find the joy in all your achievements and celebrate your actions at least once or twice a month, or more, in what you love to do.
One day my store will be showing scarves, cushions, homeware and more - it is very exciting.
Come visit my new website, subscribe, and receive blog posts directly to your email, and so much more...I promise I won't bombard you.
My initial posts on substack have been very short - this has been intentional, as I have been learning how best to format and create posts for the future.
In the future I plan to offer more in-depth details with Art creating images and information on the many artistic topics.
My experience lays within watercolour paintings, florals especially single flowers, landscapes, and some abstract art.
I also enjoy minimal art where the image is large, and the white space prevails.
My love for history helps me to enjoy creating designs in with some Japanese influence, something I now know Vincent Van Gogh liked to to paint.
When I was a Florist, my project was around Painters, painting flowers and floral arrangements. It helped me understand the value of the 1/3, 2/3 rule in displaying Floral arrangements and the research in my love for art played a huge part in my own Floristry work. Still does.
I became fascinated in the early 90’s with the different approach of realism, impressionism and painterly aspects often experimented by Van Gogh and artists of that time.
So, I am looking forward to delving into this so much more as I continue writing regularly.
Let me know your thoughts on my posts as they become more involved,
Best wishes,
Tracy
